The project with Traction Architecture on Bougainvillea is progressing nicely. Our vendors are in full swing installing their wares. Wicked Smart Homes and DRH Plumbing have done their respective rough-ins and both Avery Roof Services and Universal Windows have completed their installs. We have had Jansen Insulation foam the house and are watching Mizell Stucco clean up the outsides while Sarasota Superfloors hones and polishes the concrete floors.
The first tenant of Green Building is a clean worksite.
We are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Water Designs and the commencement of the new pool.
Please stay tuned for more updates.
We have reached the end of the build at Loma Linda and we all agree that the result was better than we could have hoped for. There were challenges along the way, however working with DSDG Architects has proven to be a rewarding experience.

1627 Peregrine Point Ct in The Landings as been listed for sale by Roberta Tengerdy and Carolyn Collins of Premier Sotheby’s International Realty. Ampersand Construction worked closely with the owner of this 1980s home during the extensive remodel. During the remodel Ampersand upgraded the home to exceed current codes. The finishes and selections, sourced locally and out of state, were all chosen with a view to “modernize while staying true to the period-specific look”.

We recently received a thoughtful review from a wonderful client:
“I can’t tell you enough how happy we are with the service and workmanship that Ampersand Construction has provided us. Any big project is stressful, but & (Ampersand Construction) did a great job. As we are out of the country, they were great at keeping us informed, and sorting out any issues that we had. There also was no problem with us asking for a little extra on the punch list – they happily provided the work. Allan was also conscientious about doing a great job and with how the final result would impress us – and it truly did impress us.
We would recommend Ampersand to anybody in the Sarasota area.
P.S. They came exactly on budget.”
When tasked with removing the “least desirable house” on Brywill Circle and replacing it with new construction, the owners asked for a Spanish Revival home. The ground-up construction was built with cutting-edge technology and all the creature comforts and amenities of a modern house. The structure and surrounding walls are EBS prefabricated panels, which were poured in place. Everything in the home is insulated and impact-rated beyond Florida Code resulting in a very efficient, custom product which will minimized the operating an maintenance costs of our client.
Here are a few more pictures of what we carried away:
This is Part II of our Peregrine Point Circle “Before & After” blog series. Our client purchased a dated, 1980s home in The Landings which required a top-down remodel. We will be doing a series of blog entries with “before and after” shots. The clean and modern feel of the home at present is a wonderful combination of current updates blended with period-specific selections and finishes.
This entry is dedicated to the kitchen of the home. We are loving the results.
